About Snake River Tiny Homes

Snake River Tiny Homes is a family-owned tiny house dealership offering affordable tiny homes, container homes, and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) for personal use or investment opportunities.

In 2022, my wife and I, along with our amazing daughter Shelly Mendoza, began the business as a way to address the nation’s housing crisis. We have been overwhelmed with the support of the local community in Southeast Idaho and so many other places throughout the country.

We are truly grateful to everyone who visits our website to learn more about tiny homes, container homes, or ADUs, and especially the many individuals who have chosen to purchase from us.

Porter Talbot

Porter and Debbie live in Rigby, Idaho, and have been passionately married for more than 40 years. They have five children which they tolerate, and 18 grandchildren who they love spending time with. They are active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Porter earned a Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) degree from the American College and is a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserve.

Incredible experience working with Porter on The Elm model. First of all he was reachable meaning we were able to speak with him at the outset when we were strongly interested and had questions and then throughout the whole process. Quick to send additional photos, pics. He was alwayys professional, knowledgeable and kind! Highly recommend!

These tiny homes are so beautiful. The detail and design of the space is incredible. I liked the variety each home has as to offer. Nice to see this company in Eastern Idaho for families looking for a new tiny home.

Getting close to retirement...we learned that Debbie and Porter were with the Snake River Tiny Homes and we couldn't resist looking. The different models are great and the finishes and trims let you personalize them to what works best for you.We have known Debbie and Porter for some years now and have found them to be some of the best people there are. You can count on what ever they tell you being spot on! As we get closer, it's going to be difficult making a decision between these great models.

These tiny homes are beautiful! They have everything you need! Very sturdy, sound proof, and modern. We were helped right away. Mr. Talbot answered all the questions we had, and shared additional information that was very helpful too. I didn’t feel like I was being pressured into anything either which was really nice! Over all it was a great experience!

My husband and I went to check out one of their tiny homes. Mr. Talbot was an amazing host. He told us about all the cool features and answered all the questions we had. The place was cozy and updated, and they had done an amazing job with staging it. 10/10 would recommend this company.

Visited on Saturday. The salesman Porter was very helpful in answering most of our question. Lovely tiny homes. They seem solid and very well built. Not at all like an RV or even manufactured home. Much better quality. It would be great if our plan was to take it away from the area. But for our purposes there remains one big problem, a place to put it. Idaho Falls, and the surrounding area does not have any “tiny home” communities and I’m not about to put this adorable home into any of the local mobile home parks where there seem to be a lack of rules or covenants concerning the way people care for (or don’t care for) their homes. So although these might be great for someone who has their own land in which to put this, it won’t work for us. But we would certainly consider this should things change.
